Building Design and Drafting Position
Job Overview
Architectural Designing and Drafting for Custom homes, spec homes, Tenant improvements, Commercial projects, Apartments and more using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities and Duties
Some or all of the items below may be included
Provide technical drawings for building permit and construction
Design homes (single family and multi family), Tenant improvements etc… and other structures as to the client’s needs
Answer phone calls and be comfortable to call clients and/or email clients
Coordinate with other consultants; such as, Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers etc…
Work with other members of the team in design discussions.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and assembling complete construction documents for building permit application
Have a good understanding of the BC Building Code 2018
Be open to answer phone calls and talk to clients directly
Strong English written, verbal and visual communication skills required
Experience in preparing and assembling complete construction documents for permit application and tender.
